You can make a difference. We can't do what we do without the help and support of volunteers—donating your time at our fundraisers to being on staff at camp, and everything in between. And in return, you get the satisfaction of knowing that you helped a child or family, and let's face it, had a lot of fun along the way!

We're looking for individuals who are friendly, trustworthy, dedicated, and caring to donate their time to be on staff at our camps. What you get in return is priceless. We take the job of caring for medically and emotionally fragile campers seriously, but we smile, laugh, and learn every day. Each camp season, we need ~170 individuals to join us in making it a camp to remember for between 13–115 campers (depending on the camp). Are you one of them?

ELIGIBILITY

Must be 18+ years old, meet minimum job requirements, be immunized/vaccinated (including primary COVID series), pass a background check, and be available for the duration of the camp period. Some camp positions are invitation only or require veteran volunteer status.

CAMP VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES

We run four camps which each have their own duration, dates, and volunteer needs. Read more about each one to see what fits best with your interest, availability, and abilities:

  • Mini Camp: a single-day camp for ages 5–7 that introduces youngsters to what camp looks and feels like. Staff commitment is one day and applicants need to be veteran staffers.

  • Kayak Adventure Camp: a 6-day kayaking and camping adventure in the San Juan Islands for young adult cancer survivors ages 18–25. Staff positions are on an invitation-only basis.

  • Sibling Ski Camp: a 3-day weekend camp near White Pass, WA for siblings of cancer patients ages 11–17. Staff commitment is three days and applicants must be competent skiers or snowboarders.
